Shot 3: Deb

I know this is super rough still, but I'm trying to work out some keys and figure out Flash.

Any feedback is great, otherwise I'll just keep chipping away.

  1. Hi Mickie,
Nice of you to be challenging yourself with a new medium. I feel when Deb starts thumbing through with her right arm the timing is super even and needs texture. What's she thinking? has she done this before (thus, she could be familiar with the first few options so she could casually spin through them knowing what they'd look like and know they're not appropriate for the date night. Then, could go into considering a few specific hair styles by staying on them (ie that pose) longer to convey that thought-consideration for a particular look)

  2. I feel like the body can move around more, maybe after selecting something she leans back a bit to check it out, that would also break the even timing of her scrolling. I would also look at how Alisia is handling the scrolling to help put more attitude in yours.

  3. i agree with what kevin and aldo said :) it seems like she keeps scrolling for a really long time. That could look better if it was broken up. I know for me its way easier the looser you draw as well (even tho your on flash) ive redone my shot probably 5 times now but it was easy to do it over and better with looser drawings...more like scribbles actually lol. ill post my progress for you to see :)

  4. I agree with everyone here Even in the animatic, we were lacking a lot of snappiness. Things should only last as long as they need to for the audience to understand. The rest can be cut. Play it at 3x speed!
